Review:

is was a cute and funny book. When done correctly, the friends-to-lovers trope can be cute. It was not my favorite because the conflict and tension were not as good as in other books. I liked that he had already told her about his crush, but it seemed a little too long ago. I think unrequited love is definitely the most important part of this book, but they seem to get together too easily. I relate so much to the main character because she has trouble understanding and showing emotions. I also love the cover art for this book it is so cute. I just competed in VJAS, and they had to do a similar presentation in the book, so I found that part exciting and fun to read about. The main character also has severe anxiety and I love to read about how other people handle it. Overall a good book but definitely light and funny with not many challenges.

Maybe even brave enough to enter a prestigious physics competition and to say yes to the new boy who's been flirting with her. Caleb Covic knows Evie isn't ready for romance but assumes that when she is, she will choose him. So Caleb is horrified when he is forced to witness Evie's meet cute with a floppy-haired, mathematically gifted transfer student. Because Caleb knows the girl never falls for the funny best friend when there's a mysterious stranger around, he decides to use an online forum to capture Evie's interest. Now, he's got Evie wondering if it's possible to fall in love with a boy she's never met.
