Review:

This was a very interesting book with interesting perspectives. But I found the writing hard to follow and choppy. The best way to explain it is to cut a fruit blindly with a machete. It just was tough to follow. The story was very interesting but definitely not the most fun read. It had lots of violence and a little too much for my taste. It was interesting to see this part of New York. Some of the ways they talked to women and African Americans was very harmful. I think I was just the time period, but it did make me a little uncomfortable. I was hoping Michael would stay out of the family business, but he was best suited for the job. It was a good book but not the best for before bed. I like the original godfather better, but Michel was pretty good too. I am interested in seeing how they wrote the movie and what was done. This was a fairly good book, but I would definitely not read it again.
