Review:

Wow! That ending was a doozy. My heart was in my chest for the entire time! I will not spoil what happened, but it was definitely terrifying. This book was a lot more complex than others, although I still like Hyacinth's story slightly better because it was like a mystery novel. The author got better at making the plots interesting and cool throughout the series. This series totally reminds me of a more modern selection series just in the way it is set up and the time period. I am interested in seeing what they do for the next TV show season, knowing how long and how far past the series goes from Lady Wistledown. I think it will be fascinating to read the story about Violet Bridgerton because it will allow me to see the love story that they all look up to. I liked the plot of this book, although it was a little challenging to read because of some of the twists. Also, I felt like the beginning of the book was a little hard to get through. I love the second epilogue in all of the books because it gives me that long-term closure that I crave, but this one has an epilogue that I did not love, which tainted the book a little. Overall this was a great book but not my favorite in the series.

Trigger Warnings:
Homomisia, Forced marriage, Childbirth, Death of a parent recounted, Gun violence, and Blackmail
