Ahhhh, so good!! This book was excellent! I love the body and race inclusivity; it really was a book that I got into. I literally procrastinated all my homework to read this book. Luckily I don’t have too much. Some of it also seemed to be gender-bent because she was the one who put the shoe on him, and she found him. It was really great to hear about a fashion student and plus-sized. I feel like these are the types of books teens need. The way she loved shoes is how I love books, and it makes me happy to hear about someone so passionate about something. This book also made me want to read dumplin and all of the authors' other books. There are so many good parts to this book. I found the characters to be relatable and deep; it also reminded me of the Selection series and how much of a concert book that is to me. The love story was adorable and funny; it made me laugh and feel things. To read this all in one day after such a walking through quicker and book is really amazing. I could feel the Cinderella story behind the scenes, but it wasn't overwhelming like some adaptations I’ve read. This was an amazing book 10/10 would recommend!
