Review:

This book has replaced Eagle Strike as my second favorite Alex rider book. I still like Point Blank the best, but this one was so interesting. First of all, I knew from the beginning jack had to die. She had been in too many books and was the only constant in his life. But I was sad about that, but the rest of the book made up for it. I liked the villain, and he was very funny. He didn’t really have emotions, and it was nice to see Alex’s clone too. I loved that they showed Scorpias plans. It really made the story more understandable and allowed us not to be in the dark. I loved that Alan Blunt was a bit of a bad guy because it really put things into perspective on how much they were using him. This was such an incredible book, and I can’t wait to read the next one. Overall a great book and one of my favorites in the series.

Synopsis From Book:

Scorpia has dogged Alex Rider for most of his life. They killed his parents, they did their best to con Alex into turning traitor, and they just keep coming back with more power. Now the world's most dangerous terrorist organization is playing with fire in the world's most combustible land: the Middle East. No one knows Scorpia like Alex. And no one knows how best to get to Alex like Scorpia. Until now. The chases have never been more intense, the fights more treacherous, or the risks so perilous to mankind. And this time, Alex won't get away.
