Review:

This book was not as good as the first one (The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy). The book was just ok, and the characters did not develop much. Also, I am a little upset over how that treated Marvin. It is not his fault he was programmed to be sad. The ending was a little confusing, and this book was not as funny as the last one. I think I would have liked it If they had made it more about the ship. I like there were parts of it that I actually liked a lot, but most of it was not my favorite. Hopefully, the third book is better. Overall this book was ok but not great.

Synopsis From Book:

Facing annihilation at the hands of the warlike Vogons is a curious time to have a cosmically displaced Arthur Dent and his curious comrades in arms as they hurtle through space powered by pure improbability - and desperately in search of a place to eat. Among Arthur's motley shipmates are Ford Prefect, a long-time friend and contributor to the The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy; Zaphod Beeblebrox, the three-armed, two-headed ex-president of the galaxy; Tricia McMilan, a fellow Earth refuge who's gone native (her name is Trillian now); and Marvin, who suffers nothing and no one gladly.
