Review:

Such a good book! I loved the romance but also the real was of the story. Nothing was perfect; nothing was even great for half the book, making it a more realistic romance novel. She was getting over her toxic ex, and it was clearly a struggle. The cover is fantastic in the book, and I just can’t get over how cute they are together. This reminds me of a book I was trying to find, which was basically a female football player and the cheerleader, which was really cool. It did get a little repetitive at some parts just because of the nature of the story and the challenge behind getting over an ex. There were some cute little quirks that I love to see in books. If any romance novel were to be turned into a movie, it would be this one because it's cute and light. It has so much depth and love that it makes me feel like I am part of the story. This was a great book, and I’m definitely adding it to my recommendations list. I can’t wait to read more of her other books, and I absolutely loved this one.

Synopsis From Book:

After losing spectacularly to her ex-girlfriend in their first game since their break up, Scottie Zajac gets into a fender bender with the worst possible person: her nemesis, the incredibly beautiful and incredibly mean Irene Abraham. Things only get worse when their nosey, do-gooder moms get involved and the girls are forced to carpool together until Irene’s car gets out of the shop. Their bumpy start only gets bumpier the more time they spend together. But when an opportunity presents itself for Scottie to get back at her toxic ex (and climb her school’s social ladder at the same time), she bribes Irene into playing along. Hijinks, heartbreak, and gay fake-dating scheme for the ages. From author Kelly Quindlen comes a new laugh-out-loud romp through the ups and downs of teen romance.
