Notes from a Young Black Chef: A Memoir

Review:

I have been reading this book for culinary class for at least five months, so it is really gratifying to finish it! I am not gonna give this one a rating because it is an autobiography and I don’t think that would be appropriate. Apart from that, the book is wonderfully written. I read a chapter every week but never got bored or sick of the story. I kept on getting sucked into the story, and it got harder and harder for me to put it down. It was really interesting to learn about the struggles and excitements he went through in his life. Since some of this happened in DC, I remember when it went down, and so it is really cool to see the connections to my real life. This was a very interesting book, and I’m glad we picked this one.

Trigger Warnings:
Drug Use
