Review:

I AM SO MAD RIGHT NOW! The ending left me unsatisfied and actually disappointed. I feel like Katniss was so not ok and then she magically was? I hate that Prim died because it wasn’t even necessary. The mom should have been killed because readers are less beloved but still have that feeling of grief for Katniss. The mom also would have been perfect because she just got her life back on track, and getting her to die would have been devastating. I really thought the ending was rushed and unnecessary. If you compare the ending to the beginning of the series, the government and things are slightly better. They could have at least kept one character the same and mot dead because now we hate Gale, Peeta is brainwashed (although that seems to have disappeared, which is annoying), Cinna, Prim, and Rue are dead, and even the mother abandoned Katniss. So many characters were ruined, and I am furious about that. Katniss was never the most likable chapter, and by doing that to the others, it means that there was no one left to like in the book. This was not a good book, and I wouldn’t recommend. Parts were hard to get through, and I never completely got into the book.

Synopsis From Book:

My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why am I not dead? I should be dead. Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss's family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding. It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans—except Katniss. The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss's willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels' Mockingjay—no matter what the personal cost.
