Review:

Ok, so I didn’t hate it! I think I went in with really low expectations, and it ended up being ten times better than I thought. I was going into it expecting to be disappointed, but it actually made me feel gooey inside, so I think that was a great thing. I was iffy about the whole parent trap thing initially, but she executed it too well and even made fun of the fact that it was similar to the parent trap that made it so different. I think the thing I like most about this author is that she writes in such a positive and fun way that you immediately become attached to the characters. I loved both of them, and their relationship with their parents was very interesting. I found it easy to get through but not exactly a can’t put down read. This author also does very well by differentiating all the characters, even the background ones. I loved how Pies and Shane made an appearance and how they all seemed to know who pies were but not Shane which was the opposite in the book. I really want to tell this author how much her work has changed my life and how I will read any book she writes just because of that. This book was not Again but Better, but I liked it in its own way, and it gave me some of the same feelings, which are awesome!!

Synopsis From Book:

Jamie’s an aspiring standup comic in Los Angeles with a growing case of stage anxiety. Siri’s a stunning ballerina from New Jersey nursing a career-changing injury. They’ve both signed up for the same session at an off the grid Re-Discover Yourself Retreat in Colorado. When they run into each other, their worlds turn upside down. Jamie and Siri are sisters, torn apart at a young age by their parent's volatile divorce. They’ve grown up living completely separate lives: Jamie with their Dad and Siri with their Mom. Now, reunited after over a decade apart, they hatch a plot to switch places. It’s time they get to know and confront each of their estranged parents. With an accidental assist from some fortuitous magic, Jamie arrives in New Jersey, looking to all the world like Siri, and Siri steps off her flight sporting a Jamie glamour. The sisters unexpectedly find themselves stuck living in each other's shoes. Soon Siri's crushing on Jamie's best friend Dawn. Jamie's falling for the handsome New Yorker she keeps running into, Zarar. Alongside a parade of hijinks and budding romance, both girls work to navigate their broken family life and the stresses of impending adulthood.
